Welcome to Pileus

snowy

This system provides open access to data useful to Alaskans and others interested in high latitudes. It is intended for two general areas of emphasis:

  1. Local Access to Global Resources. Mirrors of useful software and content from around the world.
  2. Bringing Alaskan activities to the World. An outlet for research data and results from researchers based at the University of Alaska and elsewhere, with an emphasis on Arctic topics.

These services are brought to you by the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. It was paid for in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Your ideas for content or projects that fit either area of emphasis are welcome! Email them to Prof. Greg Newby at ARSC, or call him at 907-450-8663.
